About
Data Scientist, Software Developer, and AWS Certified Solutions Architect with 4 years of professional experience building analytics tools, backend systems, and data pipelines in industry and academia. Currently at KBR supporting Cost Acquisition and Assessment group through data science and backend development efforts.
I'm currently seeking full-time opportunities in data science and software development where I can apply my experience in programming, statistical analysis, and cloud infrastructure to streamline workflows, and build reliable data-driven solutions.
Currently, I work as a Data Scientist at KBR, where I provide support by developing analytical tools and conducting research to improve program acquisition and budgeting decisions. A significant part of my role involves working directly with stakeholders to understand their objectives, structure ambiguous problems into quantitative analyses, and communicate findings that support managerial decision-making.
During my time with the organization, I led the refactoring of an Excel-driven cost estimation workflow into a consolidated Python-based web application, creating an automated pipeline that handles data ingestion, cleaning, model development, and briefing production. The application will be containerized using Docker for deployment to AWS, enabling execution across cost estimating cycles. This system is projected to deliver up to a 75% efficiency improvement and support satellite acquisition decisions directly impacting over 100 stakeholders.
In addition to application development, I conduct statistical research to support managerial decision-making. I performed an inferential statistical analysis study of contract cost performance data using Python and Jupyter Notebook to identify indicators of cost overruns. The findings strengthened leadership’s ability to monitor program risk and prioritize oversight efforts.
My technical toolkit includes:
Programming: Python, SQL, R, C++, Java, Bash, Fortran
Data & Analytics: Python (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Scikit-Learn), R, Jupyter Notebook
Cloud & DevOps: AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Git/GitHub
Databases & Project Management: MySQL, MSSQL Server, Redis NoSQL, Agile, Jira
I hold a Computational Engineering degree from The University of Texas at Austin, an interdisciplinary program in computer science, statistics, and engineering.
