About
Hello, I'm a technical professional supporting KBR Inc. as a data science analyst. Through this position, I have leveraged skillsets in machine learning, software engineering, and project management to mine data, develop models, build and deploy applications for task automation. In this way, I have helped drive the transition from legacy Excel model development to Python/SQL workflows building ETL pipelines and modeling data to drive business value to my organization. I enjoy tackling complex projects by identifying clear problem statements and use cases, designing effective system frameworks, and applying my skill set to deliver innovative solutions.
I have a Computational Engineering degree from the University of Texas at Austin, an interdisciplinary program in computer science, statistics, and mechanical engineering. I am well-versed in a multitude of both scripting programming languages (Python, R) and compile programming languages (C++, Fortran, Java, and Swift), and have experience employing these skills for applications in applied statistics, software engineering, numerical methods, and more! I am also comfortable with using applied science software applications in Matlab for matrix computations, Docker, Kubernetes, and Version Control for CI/CD, and Redis NoSQL, MSSQL Server for database development and maintenance.

KBR Inc. July 2023 - Present
Data Science Analyst
-
Supported my customer’s Cost Acquisition and Analysis Group as a cost analyst through responsibilities including data mining, validation, cost modeling, data analysis, backend software development and automation.
-
Led the development of a full-stack web application that automates the regression model development pipeline for building cost estimating relationships forecasted to bring a 75% efficiency gain to the development workflow.
-
Achieved through utilization of a tech stack comprising Python, MSSQL Server, Docker, and AWS within a CI/CD pipeline.
-
Conducted a research study employing hypothesis testing to analyze earned value management trends in defense contract performance. This enabled the delivery of actionable insights into historical program behavior that helped senior management enhance program management and outcomes.
University of Texas at Austin December 2022 - June 2023
Research Engineering Assistant
-
Utilized Python and Jupyter Notebook to perform data analysis on spatiotemporal data of oceanic circulation and sea-ice ocean dynamics
-
Provided software engineering support for the containerization of numerical models for producing ocean state estimates in an HPC environment
-
Development incorporated a CI/CD workflow with a tech stack that included C++, Fortran, Bash, Docker, Kubernetes, and Git/GitHub
University of Texas at Austin October 2021 - January 2022
Undergraduate Research Assistant
-
Utilized Matlab and R to analyze historical oceanographic data for the exploration of relationships between chemical tracer properties and climate change delivering insights to my university’s Marine Sciences Institute.
Cisco Systems May 2021 - August 2021
Test Engineering Intern
-
Performed software engineering tests on web-based products using automated testing software to comply with federal regulations for customers with hearing, visual, and cognitive impairments.
-
Collaborated with supply-chain team members to identify areas for growth in product transition operations for the development a proof-of-concept that would increase revenue forecasting accuracy, reduce customer lead time, and improve communication amongst teams.
